The case outlines the challenges related with the labour unrest in the Wistron manufacturing unit in Karnataka state of India. As a part of 'Make in India' initiative of the government, Wistron Corp, a major component supplier for Apple Inc products, established their manufacturing enterprise in India. However, after few months of inception, they were caught into labour management fiasco which was escalated to a level where workers attacked the Wistron factory and damaged goods and machineries worth several millions of dollars.
